Poem Possibly by Sam Palmer the Station Master

Only a Fragment of a Long Poem mentioning characters in the railway remembered… Not Sure in which order…will try to refine.  This was recited to my father Sam Palmer by his father Henry or Harry.

Dan McAteer was an Engineer

He drove the Great Express

One fine day in the month of May

He thought he would have a rest

The engine rusted and the boiler busted

And he was blown to Kingdom Come…
